Breaking for Summer!

We tend to slow down around here for the summer.  Our facilitators use this time to connect with their families and build themselves up spiritually so they are ready to go come fall.  To connect locally we continue with our weekly church services at TFC Sundays at 10 and 11:40am and also at 2pm in spanish.  To dig deeper, join us Wednesday nights in English at 7pm or Thursday evenings at 7pm in Spanish.  If you are interested in serving in our ministry or any other ministry, please call 682-2092 so we can get you in touch with the right person.  We will be training up leaders and casting vision for Girlfriend's Connection this summer and we would love to hear how we can better serve you and meet your needs.  Please let us know!

Small Groups and Life Lessons

Have you been attending a Girlfriend's Connection small group?  How about another small group at your local church?  Are you connecting with others?  Feeling yourself relaxing and opening up to share your heart?  Finding encouragement through your group?  Looking at life differently?  I hope so because these are all often by-products of time in a small group atmosphere.  Often it can take time to foster real relationships and you will need to invest in order to reap a true friendship but it's all well worth it.  God never expected us to do life alone. 

Ecclesiates 4:9-10  "Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up."

Oftentimes our hearts have become so hardened by life's circumstances we find ourselves present in a small group but yet a world away.  Our minds criticize and judge those around us and we leave feeling more alone than ever.  We desire to connect and soften our inner souls but we aren't quite sure where to start.  Sometimes we don't even realize that the real problem is us.  We wonder why we disagree with everyone and why others tend to bicker or back away from us.  We feel rejected when no one texts or calls.  We bombard our own minds with thinking we are "too good" for this group (though we would never actually admit this outloud).  LIES!  The enemy uses LIES to separate us and keep us apart. 

John 8:44 "...there is no truth in him [Satan]. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies."
 

Has anything struck a heart chord with you yet?  Then stop and pray and give it up to God.  If you've been operating in the flesh, stuck in a rut, isolated from others, believing the lies in your own mind, then this is not His will for you.  It's time to move on over to the spirit world.  Take a chance to get out of your comfort zone, for that is where your victory and greatest desires will be met!  Allow God to use those around you to speak life to your spirit.  Invite His Holy Spirit to penetrate your heart so that you might find conviction that leads to Godly sorrow and repentance.  Ask Him to show you where you are missing the mark.  You are not reading this or attending a group by accident, there is something He wants to reveal to you so that you might reach the next level in serving Him.  Will you seek Him and find out what it might be?  It's time.

A New Year - A New You - A New BEGINNING!

This week kicks off our next session of small group studies for women.  There is no better way to start off the new year than connecting with both old and new friends, making room for God to work in your life and committing to move forward to what He has for you.  God has placed a dream in your heart and the way to bring it to fruition is to listen to His leading...for His timing...in His ways.  It's a safe bet that none of it includes going it alone.  We were created for community and there is power in numbers!  When we are down, our friends can lift us up and encourage us.  When we are soaring high, our friends are there to celebrate with us!  Wherever you are at in life right now, join us through Girlfriend's Connection and watch as He refines you to create in you the person that you long to become...the one He has DESTINED you to become.  Please see our brochure and choose the group that best fits your schedule, your life and your desires and contact the facilitator today!  Even if you can't commit to every week, go when you can.  God loves to move through others and IN others and as you surround yourself with other women in different walks of life that are seeking more of Him, one thing is for certain - He will be found.
